by Cassandra Golds, Published by Penguin Books 2005

“The most exciting cartoon adventure in history!!” it says on the cover, so it MUST be true.

A light hearted semi-fictional account of the life and explorations of Matthew Flinders and his cat Trim, published in The School Magazine over twenty parts during 2002 and 2003. The fictional element is mostly Trim's story after his real life disappearance on Ile de France (Mauritius) during Matthew's long imprisonment there. The author, Cassandra Golds, sends Trim on a quest to Paris to plead with the Emperor Napoleon for his master's release. There is also a very touching episode featuring the last dodo.
